Look to This Day

There are many ways to see this day. The mind has tricky ways to keep us bound to our suffering. The truth is much more hopeful. We really never know exactly what each moment will bring. The possibilities are endless and the probabilities are limited only slightly by our actions and our attitude

Plennie Wingo

Vultures wake with me each morning pearched on the headboard of my imaginary bed. They are ready to pick the decaying flesh off of my thought carcass and leave me with the sceletal remains of of my identity bleaching in the harsh weather of samsara.

To hear the good news that, there is no bed, there are no vultures, no flesh, no carcass and that the burning sun and the stinging rains are my creation relieves me of the earth-bound existence that I have endured for many lifetimes.

In the moment I can live. In the moment I can see the truth. In the moment I can.

I am free right now.
